The TPTI Erasmus Mundus Joint Master is coordinated by Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and awards a joint degree with the universities of Padua and Évora. It studies the history and heritage of technology through history, art history, anthropology, sociology, archaeology, conservation-restoration and museology.
Students complete the first three semesters in Paris, Padua and Évora, then undertake a thesis and may choose specialist mobility at a listed partner university. The latest published application campaign was for the 2026–2028 cohort and is now closed.
Benefits & funding
- Erasmus Mundus scholarship recipients receive €1,400 per month for 24 months, up to €33,600 in total.
- The scholarship also covers all participation fees and health insurance required by the program.
- Students without an Erasmus Mundus scholarship may enrol for €2,000 per year and may request a fee exemption from the coordination team.
Eligibility
- Academic applicants need a bachelor-level qualification in history, art history, archaeology, anthropology, geography and regional planning, or a foreign equivalent meeting the stated curricular requirements.
- Graduates of engineering, architecture, landscape or heritage schools may also apply, and the program accepts relevant cultural and heritage professionals.
- Applicants must provide evidence of B1 French and English.
- The required file includes a certified diploma copy and grades, a motivation letter, two recommendation letters, a CV and the completed application form.
- Applicants who have already defended a master’s thesis must also upload its PDF.

Application process

- 3Submit the file through the TPTI online registration platform.
- 4Send a PDF copy of the file and requested documents by email or post to the TPTI secretariat.
- 5Await the CSLM decision; the program publishes a main list and a waiting list.
