CCD-STeDe is a 120-ECTS Erasmus Mundus joint master coordinated by the University of Padua. It prepares specialists in sustainable territorial development in the context of climate and environmental emergencies.
Students follow one of four academic paths and study in at least two countries among Italy, Ecuador, Portugal, Burkina Faso and South Africa. Teaching combines physical mobility, blended study and online elements; the next application cycle is scheduled to open on 15 November 2026.
Benefits & funding
- The Erasmus Mundus scholarship provides €1,400 per month for 24 months and covers tuition fees and insurance; it is intended to meet travel, visa, installation and living costs.
- For the 2026/2028 edition, two Erasmus Mundus scholarships are reserved for applicants from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo or Montenegro, and three are reserved for applicants from Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand or Vietnam.
- The program also describes approximately 10 additional places each year with partial support and fee waivers, alongside self-funded places.
Eligibility
- The master is open to EU and non-EU applicants; admission itself has no published nationality restriction.
- Applicants need a recognized first-cycle degree lasting at least three years and worth 180 ECTS or an equivalent qualification; the most recently published cycle required completion by 30 June 2026.
- Applicants need B2 proficiency in English and in Spanish, Portuguese or French, according to the selected path; certificates are optional, but both languages are checked during the interview if pre-selected.
- Applicants must show interest in sustainable development and climate change and hold a passport valid for at least three years.
- Scholarship availability is narrower than admission and follows the country allocations stated above for the 2026/2028 edition.
