Infectious Diseases and One Health — Master's Scholarship

Infectious Diseases and One Health is a two-year, 120-ECTS joint master’s delivered in English by the IDOH Consortium. Université de Tours coordinates the programme with Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Medizinische Hochschule Hannover.

Students study infectious diseases through human, animal and environmental health, completing compulsory coursework and extensive laboratory training. They spend one semester each in Tours, Barcelona and Hannover, then undertake a final-semester thesis internship with an academic or associated partner.

Benefits & funding

The programme awards 120 ECTS and a joint accredited diploma after two years.
Tuition is €4,500 per year and includes enrolment at all three universities, classes and an insurance scheme.
Accommodation, living, travel, visa and additional insurance costs are not included; the site estimates subsistence at about €600 per month and lists city-specific accommodation starting prices.
A number of Erasmus Mundus scholarships will go to top candidates among the 24 students selected, but the current page does not publish their value or coverage.

Eligibility

Applicants need a bachelor’s degree worth at least 180 ECTS in immunology, infectious diseases, biomedicine, microbiology or a similar subject; medicine, pharmaceutical science and veterinary studies are also eligible.
Final-year bachelor’s students may apply if they will graduate before the programme starts.
Academic results must be at least upper-second-class honours or the country-equivalent standard.
Applicants must provide accepted proof of English proficiency; published test routes include IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with at least 6.0 in each component or TOEFL iBT 92 overall with at least 20 in each component.
No work-experience minimum is stated, and the published requirements do not impose a nationality or residency restriction.
