NeuroData is an Erasmus Mundus joint master combining neuroscience, data science, and a research thesis. The six-university consortium awards a double master’s degree.
All students spend year one at Bar-Ilan University in Israel, attend a compulsory two-week summer school in Zagreb, and complete year two at a partner in Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, or Finland. The programme is full-time and runs annually.

- The scholarship package provides €1,400 per month for 24 months to support living, travel, visa, and residence-permit costs.
- Scholarship holders also receive tuition, health and accident insurance, registration, language courses, and academic and administrative services.
- The costs page says the 2027 intake will be self-funded unless new funding is obtained, while the current application page calls the coming round a scholarship application; applicants should confirm the available route with NeuroData.
- The programme can enrol up to five self-funded students, who must cover tuition, travel, living, and participation costs.
Eligibility
- Applicants need a first higher-education degree of at least 180 ECTS in brain sciences, life sciences, exact sciences, engineering, computer science, psychology, cognitive science, or an equivalent field.
- Final-year bachelor’s students may apply but must provide proof of graduation before the programme begins; the FAQ specifies 15 August for the official diploma.
- Applicants need basic knowledge of general biology, mathematics, and Python programming, plus English at CEFR B2 or an accepted exemption.
- There is no stated nationality or residence restriction, but participation depends on obtaining visas for Israel and the second-year country.
- Previous recipients of an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master, Master Course, or Joint Doctorate scholarship cannot receive another EMJM scholarship.

Application process
- 1Complete the NeuroData online application between 15 November 2026 and 5 February 2027; email and postal applications are not accepted.
- 2Rank up to three second-year institutions in order of preference.
- 3Upload the passport materials, a motivation letter of no more than 500 words, a two-page EuroPass CV, English proof, degree or enrolment evidence, translated transcripts with GPA calculations, proof of residence, and two recommendation letters.
- 4If shortlisted, attend an interview in early March; final results are scheduled for April 2027.
