The Education in Museums and Heritage scholarship supports full-time study on EDUMaH, a 24-month Erasmus Mundus Joint Master coordinated by the University of Glasgow. Students study museum and heritage education through placements, language learning, research, and at least three mobility periods in Europe.
Degree routes involve Glasgow, Tartu or Cork, and Malta or Nijmegen; an optional summer school may take place elsewhere in Europe or in Mexico. The most recent scholarship cycle closed on 23 January 2026, and the university has not yet published application deadlines for 2027 entry.
Benefits & funding
- All tuition fees, insurance, and other mandatory participation costs are covered for the full programme.
- The scholarship is worth EUR 1,400 per month for 24 months, up to EUR 33,600 in total.
- Recipients may instead take three EUR 1,000 travel and installation advances deducted from the total award, with the monthly payment reduced to EUR 1,275.
Eligibility
- Applications are accepted from all regions of the world.
- Applicants must hold a first higher education degree or a recognised equivalent; final-year students may apply if they complete the degree before the master’s begins.
- Previous recipients of an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master scholarship cannot receive another EDUMaH scholarship.
- Applicants whose first language is not English must satisfy the programme’s English requirement, such as IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no subtest below 6.0.
- Recipients must enrol full-time and complete at least two physical study periods in two countries, including one Programme country; both must differ from their country of residence at enrolment.

Application process

- 2Complete the EDUMaH scholarship application form, convert it to PDF, and upload it with the programme application.
- 3Upload degree certificates and transcripts, certified English translations where needed, two compliant reference letters, a CV, passport photo page, and English-language evidence where required.
