UCL200 Laws LLB Opportunity Scholarships — Bachelor's Scholarship

The UCL200 Laws LLB Opportunity Scholarships help students in financial need begin a full-time undergraduate law degree at UCL Faculty of Laws in London. The 2026 awards are for UK-domiciled offer holders from underrepresented backgrounds.

Recipients may use the maintenance bursary for any purpose while studying, but it does not pay tuition fees. Continued annual payments depend on satisfactory academic progress.

Benefits & funding

A maintenance bursary of up to £15,000 per year for the duration of the recipient’s LLB degree, which runs three or four years.
The award may be used for any purpose but does not cover tuition fees.
Annual instalments continue only if the recipient makes satisfactory academic progress.

Eligibility

Hold and firmly accept an offer for a UCL LLB beginning in September 2026, having either met the offer conditions or received confirmation of admission as a near-miss candidate.
Have household income of no more than £42,875.
Have attended only non-fee-paying, state-funded schools or educational institutions; any attendance at a fee-paying junior or senior institution makes an applicant ineligible.
Qualify for Home fee status, be domiciled in the United Kingdom, and not have completed a degree at UCL or elsewhere.
