The Glenmore Postgraduate Scholarship

Funding

Partial / Stipend

Program dates

TBA

The Glenmore Postgraduate Scholarship funds talented students from lower- and middle-income countries to study a master’s in a health or medical field at the University of Edinburgh, chosen from either a fully online part-time track or a one-year on-campus track. Three awards are offered for the 2026-2027 intake, each covering full tuition for the entire duration of the chosen programme. It is aimed especially at applicants from Africa and others who would otherwise be unable to fund postgraduate study. The online part-time track lets recipients keep working and remain in their home country while they study; the on-campus track requires relocating to Edinburgh.

Benefits & funding

  • Three scholarships available for 2026-2027 entry.
  • Full tuition fees for the entire duration of the chosen programme (online programmes run 3 years part-time; on-campus programmes run 1 year).
  • Any additional programme costs listed on the University’s Degree Finder are also covered where applicable.
  • Online programmes require no relocation or travel; on-campus programmes are studied in Edinburgh.

  • Currently domiciled in one of the eligible countries derived from the DAC List of ODA Recipients 2026-2027 (66 countries enumerated on the official page).
  • Hold, or expect to obtain, the overseas equivalent of a UK first-class honours undergraduate degree.
  • Accepted for admission to an eligible programme (online or on-campus) for the 2026-2027 academic year.
