The Summer School in Digital Human Rights is a one-week residential course run by Lund University’s Faculty of Law together with the Raoul Wallenberg Institute for Human Rights, held on campus in Lund, Sweden. It examines how established human rights are challenged and reshaped by digital technology — covering privacy in the digital age, freedom of expression online and on social media, business and human rights in cyber contexts, the regulation of AI from a human rights perspective, freedom of thought and opinion in the face of AI-driven manipulation, electoral interference and hybrid threats to democracy, and international cybercrime treaties. It brings together participants with a legal or human rights background for an intensive week of lectures, discussion and seminars led by Lund and Raoul Wallenberg Institute scholars.
