The ISN-SLANH Fellowships are a partnership between the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) and the regional society SLANH, run inside the ISN Fellowship Program.
Doctors from Latin America who belong to both societies train for up to three months at an ISN Regional Training Center in Latin America, then return to use the skills at their home institution. Applications go through the General ISN Fellowship.
Benefits & funding
- An ISN grant sized to training length and host-country costs, meant to cover or offset the fellow’s travel, accommodation and living (not family); no amount is published.
- Up to three months of training; the host should charge no tuition.
- Duty: return home within three months and work at the home institution at least three years, or repay the grant.
Eligibility
- Member of both ISN (full or trainee) and SLANH; home and host mentors must be full ISN members.

- Host must be an ISN Regional Training Center in Latin America.
- Postgraduate internal medicine training completed in your home country.
- Employed at a public institution that nominates you and guarantees re-employment; doctors in private settings are barred.
