The ISAPS Fellowship Program is run by the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Fellows spend a fixed three months training under a host surgeon across aesthetic surgery: face, body, nose, breast, transgender and non-surgical procedures.
Hosts sit in about 25 cities across Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and South America. Fellows are placed by preference, availability and visa requirements; hands-on work depends on the case, their skills and local rules.
Benefits & funding
- Three months of supervised clinical training; each host sets its own teaching structure.
- No salary: fellows pay their own travel and living costs; some hosts subsidise accommodation.
- No on-call or other clinical duties.
- Applying is free; accepting an offer requires a USD 100 non-refundable deposit within two weeks, credited to the ISAPS membership profile.
Eligibility
- ISAPS Resident Members in the final two years of plastic surgery training, or ISAPS Associate Members (surgeons in practice for under three years, per the membership page).
- Membership must stay valid for the whole three-month fellowship. Resident Eco membership is free; Associate membership carries yearly and application fees.
- No nationality bar is stated; fellows must meet the host country’s visa requirements.
- Residents training in India, Brazil or Greece also need proof of national society membership to join ISAPS.
