The European Society of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology (ESPO) awards Congress Fellowships so that a paediatric otolaryngologist from a low-income country, who could not otherwise attend, can take part in its international congress.
The 2027 congress runs 17–20 April in Prague, Czech Republic. Fellows travel there for the four days of the meeting.
Benefits & funding
- €1,000 from ESPO central funds towards travel and hotel costs: a contribution, not full cover.
- Congress registration fee waived.
- One year of ESPO membership.
- Afterwards, a short report (one A4 side at most) that ESPO may publish on its website.
Eligibility
- Young paediatric otolaryngologists who have completed residency training and are early in their consultant career.
- From a low-income country; the guidelines publish no country list. One fellowship is meant for an applicant from Eastern Europe; a second may go to an applicant from outside Europe.
- ESPO Council members cannot apply.
