MEDfOR is a 120-ECTS international master’s delivered by seven consortium universities in Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Turkey. It combines three coursework semesters, a Winter School, and one dissertation semester.
Students complete mandatory mobility across consortium institutions, and English is the official teaching language. The 15th edition is closed; it admitted only self-funded students and offered no Erasmus Mundus scholarships.

- Participation costs are €3,000 per year and cover enrollment at two host universities, facilities, insurance, and administration; travel, fieldwork, books, and living costs are excluded.
- Self-funded students may seek an Erasmus+ mobility scholarship for one or two semesters in the second year, but this support is not guaranteed.
Eligibility
- Applicants need at least a bachelor’s degree and English at B1 CEFR or above.
- The programme is generally open worldwide; for the 15th edition, non-EU applications closed on 31 December 2025 and a second call for EU candidates closed on 30 May 2026.
- Native speakers listed by MEDfOR are exempt from an English certificate; other applicants must provide accepted proof or eligible English-medium-study confirmation.
- No minimum age or work-experience threshold is stated, although age and relevant experience may be considered during selection.

Application process
- 1Complete the online form and rank the three first-year institutions and seven second-year specializations.
- 2Assemble the required identity, residence, degree, transcript, English, CV, motivation, reference, and declaration documents in the prescribed order.
- 3Upload the document package and provide two signed, headed reference letters, including at least one academic reference.
- 4Shortlisted candidates attend an interview, after which the MEDfOR Commission sends decisions by email.
