Koç University in Istanbul awards merit scholarships to the students it admits to its research-based graduate programs. Every admitted Master with Thesis or PhD student, domestic or international, receives a 100% scholarship from the relevant Graduate School, except in the Graduate School of Health Sciences.
There is no separate scholarship application: admission is the selection, and the result arrives with the offer letter. Taught (non-thesis) master’s programs are not included.

- The PhD scholarship runs for the full duration of the studies.
- Living expenses and health insurance (and housing, for PhD students) may be added, depending on the Graduate School.
Eligibility
- Open to domestic and international applicants; no nationality is barred.
- You must be admitted to a Master with Thesis or PhD program.
- Not covered: Graduate School of Health Sciences programs, the LLM with Thesis, and all non-thesis (taught) master’s programs.
- The application needs valid GRE/GMAT and TOEFL scores.
Application process
- 1Apply to your Master with Thesis or PhD program through Koç’s online graduate application portal, with all required documents and test scores.
- 2Fill in no scholarship form: admitted students are considered automatically.
- 3The Graduate School emails the scholarship result with the admission offer, on the dates shown on its own Admission pages.
