Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity (AFSEE) is run by the International Inequalities Institute at the London School of Economics. It brings together activists, policymakers, researchers and practitioners working against inequality.
Residential Fellows spend a year in London on the MSc in Inequalities and Social Science; Non-Residential Fellows stay in their home countries, complete a practice-based project and join the shared fellowship modules. Both then become lifelong Senior Fellows.
Benefits & funding
- Residential: full MSc tuition plus a £23,000 stipend; up to nine such awards a year (LSE fees page, 2025-26 figures).
- Non-Residential: a Postgraduate Certificate in Social and Economic Equity; the programme calls itself fully funded.
- Four fellowship modules on global inequalities, plus leadership and skills development.
- Senior Fellowship afterwards, with access to funding and collaborative projects.

- At least 7 years of experience, for both tracks.
- Able to meet LSE’s English language requirements.
