The Global Leadership Challenge (GLC) is an annual initiative of the University of Oxford (Social Sciences Division and Oxford Character Project) and the St. Gallen Symposium.
Over five days online, 100 young leaders work in small teams with Senior Advisors on challenges set by partner organisations, through dialogues, masterclasses and workshops, and build impact projects.
Benefits & funding
- Certificate of Achievement from Oxford and the St. Gallen Symposium for every active participant.
- Top three teams invited to the 56th St. Gallen Symposium (April 2027) as Leaders of Tomorrow, all expenses covered (GLC apply page); the St. Gallen page still describes a single winning team.
- Afterwards, members can apply for leadership mentoring with the Oxford Character Project.

Eligibility
- Students enrolled in a Master’s or PhD programme, or young professionals aged 21–30.
- Undergraduate studies completed.
- Proven commitment to responsible leadership through extracurricular activities or work.
- Available for about five half-days, 10–14 December 2026; full attendance is required for the certificate.
- No nationality or residence restriction is stated.
