The Voqal Partners Fellowship backs community organizers and social entrepreneurs in the United States who are building an early-stage idea for social justice. It is run by Voqal Partners, a philanthropic organization.
Eight fellows a year work on their own project for six months, from April to September, meeting at three in-person convenings and on monthly cohort calls.
Benefits & funding
- US$30,000, paid as one lump sum at the start, with no restrictions on how it is spent.
- A US$1,000 healthcare stipend, plus a childcare stipend for fellows with dependents under 18.
- All travel costs for the three in-person convenings are covered.
- Coaching, mentorship and a peer cohort.
- Fellows may keep other work, but the project must stay their priority.
Eligibility
- Aged 18 or older.
- Based in the United States and able to receive funds in the US; no visa sponsorship is offered.
- Priority (not a requirement) goes to people with lived experience, from non-dominant cultures, or from communities historically excluded from philanthropy.
