A two-year, 120 ECTS Erasmus Mundus joint master’s in European politics, history, economy and international relations, taught in English. Charles University’s Faculty of Social Sciences coordinates it with Jagiellonian University, Leiden University and Pompeu Fabra University.

Everyone starts in Prague, spends semester two in Leiden or Krakow, then the second year at a different partner; an internship and a thesis lead to a joint diploma.

Benefits & funding

  • Scholarship: full tuition (€11,000 Programme Country, €18,000 Partner Country bracket) plus a living allowance of €1,400 a month for up to 24 months (€33,600).
  • Insurance and visa help included; travel to extracurricular events is the student’s cost.
  • Self-payers: €2,750 a semester (EU/EEA) or €4,500 (others); 1–2 a year win a second-year fee reduction.

Eligibility

  • Any nationality; no age limit.
  • A Bachelor’s in a relevant field, or final-year students completing it in the year they apply.
  • Non-native English speakers: C1 proof (CAE, IELTS 7.0, TOEFL 95, or a university confirmation).
  • Anyone who already held an Erasmus Mundus joint master, Master Course or Joint Doctorate scholarship cannot get this scholarship.
  • Bracket: Programme Country if you are a national or ordinary resident of an Erasmus+ Programme Country, or studied, trained or worked there over 12 months in the last five years; otherwise Partner Country.

Application process

    Apply online through Charles University’s system from 1 November; there is no application fee.

    Include two letters of recommendation and C1 English proof.

    Submit by 28 February to be considered for a scholarship automatically; later applications are self-paying only.

    Results by 30 April; you may appeal to the EPS Programme Board within two weeks.
