IFRoS is a 120-ECTS joint master coordinated by the Universitat de Girona with the University of Zagreb and Eötvös Loránd University. It prepares technical graduates for intelligent field robotics through artificial intelligence, computer vision, control, machine learning, and hands-on systems work.
Students spend the first two semesters in Girona, choose Zagreb or Budapest for the third semester, and complete a thesis at a consortium university or associated partner. The 2026–2028 cycle offered self-funded seats and 14 tuition-fee reduction grants, but both application routes are now closed.
Benefits & funding
- The two-year participation fee is €9,000 for Programme Country students and €15,000 for Partner Country students.
- Fourteen 2026–2028 Excellence Grants reduced tuition by €8,500 or €14,500 respectively, leaving each recipient a €500 contribution.
- Fees include registration at the three host institutions, insurance, and administrative costs; living, travel, visa, translation, and diploma-issuance costs are excluded.
- Self-funded students pay their own tuition and all participation-related living and mobility costs.
Eligibility
- Applicants may apply from any country; no nationality or residency restriction is stated.
- By enrolment, applicants must hold a university degree representing at least three years of full-time study and 180 ECTS.
- The program expects a technical engineering background with solid mathematics and computing preparation, including linear algebra, advanced calculus, and statistics.
- Applicants must be fluent in Python and meet CEFR B2 English, such as IELTS 6.5 or an accepted equivalent; a fully English-taught bachelor’s degree may satisfy the language requirement with an official university letter.
