Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Artificial Intelligence for Image Processing and Computer Vision

Benefits & funding

• Erasmus Mundus scholarship: €1,400 a month for the full two years, with every participation fee waived.
• Scholarship holders pay no tuition or administrative fees at all.
• A limited number of half-fee waivers is available to self-funded students.
• Self-funded participation costs are €4,500 a year for EU students and €9,000 a year for non-EU students, covering tuition, courses, library and IT access, student services and insurance.
• The Madrid semester and the Bordeaux semester can each add an Erasmus+ study grant of about €520 a month.
• The Bordeaux semester also opens the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship route.
• The semester-four internship can draw Erasmus+ internship funding of €570 to €620 a month.
• Three national degrees on graduation: MSc in Computer Science Engineering from PPCU, Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Image Processing and Computer Vision from UAM, and the Master in “Informatique”, Image Processing and Computer Vision from Bordeaux.

Eligibility

• A first higher education degree — a bachelor of 180 ECTS or equivalent — in computer science, engineering, mathematics or physics, held before the programme starts.
• An average grade of at least “Good” on the local marking scale.
• English at B2 on the CEFR, shown by an IELTS overall 6.5, a TOEFL 90, an accredited language centre certificate, or a bachelor taught entirely in English; native speakers are exempt.
• Final-year bachelor students may apply with a university letter confirming registration and expected graduation before the programme starts, plus transcripts of completed courses.
• Already holding a master’s degree does not disqualify an applicant.
• Candidates of every nationality can apply; no residency requirement, no age limit and no work-experience requirement are stated.

Application process

   Watch ipcv.eu for the call: the scholarship round and the later self-funded round open separately.

   Register on the eMundus system at emundus-ipcv.u-bordeaux.fr — paper applications and applications sent by email are not considered.

   Upload the CV in Europass template, the bachelor degree and academic transcripts in both English and the original language, a passport-type photograph and a passport copy.

   Write the motivation letter, capped at 1,000 words, and record the motivation video.

   Obtain two recommendation letters from academic or scientific referees, on institutional letterhead.

   Attach the English language certificate or the university statement, a work certificate if you have one, and — on the self-funded route — a declaration of financial resources.

   Submit before noon Paris time on the closing day of the call.

   Results come by email only; the committee releases nothing by phone or email enquiry.

   An applicant may appeal the eligibility decision by signed PDF letter within one week of the results being published.
