MultiDiverse is an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master coordinated by the University of Konstanz in Germany, together with Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece and Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. The European Union funds it through Erasmus+ under grant number 101241136.
Students study at all three universities over four semesters and 120 ECTS, approaching multilingualism and cultural diversity through linguistics, education, sociology and psychology.
Teaching is in English, with some courses possibly offered in German, Greek, Polish or other languages. Graduates receive one joint Master’s degree conferred by all three partner universities.
Benefits & funding
- Around 12 scholarships each year, open to students from any country.
- Each scholarship runs for the full four semesters, 24 months.
- Monthly allowance of EUR 1,400 towards travel, visa, installation and subsistence costs.
- Waiver of the participation costs for scholarship holders.
- Health and accident insurance package (Dr-Walter) meeting the EACEA minimum requirements.
- Self-paying places are also offered. For the 2026–2028 edition the participation costs are EUR 7,000 in total (EUR 1,750 per semester) for students from the EU and associated countries, and EUR 11,520 in total (EUR 2,880 per semester) for students from non-associated third countries.
- Participation costs cover the courses, the introductory week, the summer school, insurance, exams, thesis supervision, the diploma, and up to EUR 300 towards thesis work. Literature, accommodation and travel are not covered.
Eligibility
- Students of all nationalities can apply.
- A Bachelor’s degree from a programme of at least three years, in linguistics, education, psychology, sociology, speech and language therapy, or a related discipline.
- A grade at least equivalent to German grade 3.0.
- English at level C1 of the Common European Framework. Applicants whose degree or secondary education was taught in English are exempt from the certificate.
- Anyone who already holds an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master scholarship from another programme cannot receive a second one.
- Applicants from China, India and Vietnam must add an APS certificate.
- Any document not in English needs a sworn English translation.

Application process
- 1Check your degree subject, your grade and your English level against the admission requirements.
- 2Collect the documents: degree proof, English certificate or proof of exemption, a Europass CV in English listing your language skills, a one-page application letter, two reference letters (two academic, or one academic and one professional), and a copy of your passport or identity card showing your nationality.
- 3Add an APS certificate if you are applying from China, India or Vietnam, plus sworn English translations for anything not in English.
- 4Submit the application through the ZEuS portal of the University of Konstanz inside the application window.
- 5Attend an interview if the MultiDiverse team asks for one.
- 6If you are not selected for a scholarship, you may still be offered a self-paying place.
