The Edinburgh Surgery Online Patient Safety Scholarships are awarded by the University of Edinburgh to support study on its online MSc in Patient Safety and Clinical Human Factors — a three-year, part-time, fully online master’s for graduate healthcare professionals, from nurses to surgeons and anaesthetists, who want to lead patient-safety and human-factors work. Two kinds of award are offered: a full tuition-fee scholarship for nationals and residents of eligible developing regions, and £1,500-a-year bursaries open to all applicants. Both are credited toward tuition rather than paid out as cash. Note: as of mid-2026 the University’s programme pages list this MSc as closed to recruitment after the September 2026 intake, so whether these awards run again is not yet confirmed.
