CYBERUS is a two-year, full-time Erasmus Mundus joint master taught in English by a European university consortium led from Université Bretagne Sud. Students begin in France and move through Estonia and either Luxembourg or Belgium, following an IoT Cybersecurity or Software Cybersecurity track.
The curriculum is mainly technical and ends with a five-month international internship and master’s thesis. Recruitment is paused for 2026; the consortium says the program will return under a different name with a revised curriculum in 2027, but it has not announced an opening date.
Benefits & funding
- For the 2025 intake, up to 23 students could receive a €1,400 monthly scholarship for all 24 months together with a registration-fee waiver.
- Up to seven additional students could receive a fee waiver without the monthly scholarship.
- Self-funded students paid an annual €4,500 registration fee covering insurance and compulsory academic activities, but not travel, food, or accommodation.
Eligibility
- Applicants could come from any country; prior recipients of an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master scholarship were ineligible for the CYBERUS scholarship.
- Admission normally required a nationally recognized bachelor’s degree of at least 180 ECTS or a master’s degree of at least 240 ECTS, with a major in computer science or computer engineering.
- An exceptional route required at least five years of relevant professional experience; this alternative is stated here rather than encoded as a universal experience minimum.
- Selected applicants needed proof of English at Cambridge FCE, IELTS Academic 5.5, TOEFL paper 570, computer 230, or internet 72, unless covered by the program’s published exemption rules.
