Brain Bee Vietnam is the national qualifier for the International Brain Bee (IBB), a neuroscience competition for high-school students. It is run independently of the IBB, with Duc Tran listed as coordinator and its public page based in Ho Chi Minh City.
The national winner represents Vietnam at the IBB World Championship. Vietnam sent competitors in 2024 and 2025, but the IBB countries page states Vietnam is not hosting a competition in 2026.
Benefits & funding
- The national winner qualifies for the IBB World Championship.
- There, every competitor receives a certificate; the top three win US$3,000, US$2,000 and US$1,000 plus a medal.
- No Vietnam-specific fee, prize or travel support is published; treat participation as self-funded until a new notice says otherwise.
Eligibility
- Students enter the Brain Bee of their country of residence, so this route is for students living in Vietnam.
- Brain Bees are for high-school students, typically aged 13–19; national champions must be 19 or younger for the World Championship.
- One Local and one National Brain Bee per year at most; students in a country with an active National Brain Bee cannot enter the IYNA Virtual Brain Bee.
- A competing student cannot help organize the competition.
