The Swiss Study Foundation awards these scholarships with the Bärbel und Paul Geissbühler Stiftung, which has financed the program since 2018. They go to bachelor’s and master’s students in mathematics, computing, natural sciences and technology, including human medicine and pharmacy.
Only students already admitted to the Foundation’s support program can receive one. The award is decided internally and is never opened as a public call.
The Foundation states the money is for students with excellent academic results and little means to finance their studies, who have already exhausted support from their parents and from cantonal scholarship offices.
