Advanced Materials for Innovative Recycling (AMIR-EM) is a 120-ECTS, two-academic-year master’s programme coordinated by Université de Bordeaux. It combines chemistry, materials science, engineering, recycling, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.
This gateway covers two separately funded routes for the 2026–2028 cohort: an AMIR EIT partial-scholarship call and an AMIR EM self-funded call. Students choose a first-year base in Bordeaux, Lisbon, or Miskolc and a third-semester destination in Madrid, Darmstadt, or Liège.
Benefits & funding
- The AMIR EIT route provided a €15,000 grant for the programme, paid during semesters 2 and 3 from January through December 2026.
- EIT grant recipients still pay AMIR programme fees and must finance their first six months, fourth semester, and any additional study period.
- The AMIR EM self-funded route provides no scholarship; students cover programme, travel, accommodation, living, and related costs.
- The programme carries 120 ECTS over two academic years and leads to a double diploma, with joint degrees as an objective.
Eligibility
- Applicants need a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and environmental sciences with advanced chemistry knowledge covering at least three years or 180 ECTS, or a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physical chemistry, materials science, or matter science.
- Applicants must demonstrate at least CEFR B2 English through an accepted certificate or qualifying university letter; the published document rules exempt nationals of Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, and Australia from this document.
- The programme welcomes applicants worldwide and states no residence, age, gender, or minimum work-experience requirement.
