The Youth Leadership Workshop on Global Citizenship Education (GCED) is an annual programme organised by the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) under the auspices of UNESCO, together with the UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) and the GCED Youth Network. It brings around 40 young leaders from Official Development Assistance (ODA) recipient countries to Seoul, Republic of Korea, for an intensive workshop that builds their capacity to lead Global Citizenship Education initiatives in their communities. The 12th edition (2026) carried the theme of translating peace into practice through media and the arts for youth advocacy.

Eligibility
- Young leaders who are nationals of Official Development Assistance (ODA) recipient countries.
- Applicants must have been actively engaged in Global Citizenship Education activities.
- Completion of the prerequisite GCED online course is required.
- The workshop is conducted in English, so working proficiency is expected.

Application process

- 2Submit the workshop application through APCEIU before the annual deadline.
