Women in Global Health Leadership Fellowship

Eligibility

• Identify as a woman.
• African national who resides and works in Kenya or South Africa.
• Early-to-mid-career professional with 5–15 years of public health experience (local, regional, or global).
• Hold postgraduate education in public health, health policy, health sciences, or a related field (postgraduate diploma or certificate, master’s, or PhD).
• Work in a role focused on public health policy, practice, teaching, and/or research.
• Able to demonstrate leadership qualities through work, education, or community service.
• Fluent in English.
• Able to take leave to attend the one-week in-person academy in Kenya in early 2027, and able to obtain a valid passport for travel.

Application process

   Submit an online Expression of Interest (EOI), a short form taking about 15–20 minutes.

   Candidates who meet the eligibility and selection criteria are invited to submit a full application.

   Selected fellows are notified and join the incoming cohort.

Program timeline

1. Expression of Interest deadline for the 2026/27 cohort.

2. Full application deadline (invitation only).

   End of June / early July 2026

3. One-week in-person leadership academy in Kenya.

   Early 2027

4. The full fellowship runs about 12 months across online and in-person phases.
