The WISE EdTech Accelerator is run by WISE, the World Innovation Summit for Education founded by Qatar Foundation. Each year it takes a small cohort of early-stage edtech startups for a year of support.
Startups join either the Local Track, for entering Qatar’s education market with partners such as QSTP and QRDI, or the International Track, for scaling without a set target market.
Benefits & funding
- A year-long program of one-to-one coaching and expert masterclasses in marketing, sales, fundraising, product and market positioning.
- Access to WISE’s network of investors and education specialists.
- Showcasing at partner events such as Web Summit Qatar and London EdTech Week, and at the WISE 13 Summit in Doha.
- No direct funding; Local Track startups get access to local funding and grants through partners.
Eligibility
- For-profit edtech ventures only; NGOs and nonprofits are not eligible.
- Past the MVP stage, with traction, sales and measurable impact in their markets.
- Open to startups from any country; typically seed to pre-Series A, having raised under US$500,000 (a guide, not a cap).
- Any education subsector, including K–12, higher education and professional development.
- Teams with co-founders are preferred over solo founders.
