Tsinghua Amgen Scholars Program — Summer School

The Tsinghua Amgen Scholars Program is Tsinghua University’s site of the Amgen Scholars Asia Program, run by the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and listed in Tsinghua’s International Summer School.

Scholars spend eight weeks in a Beijing lab in pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences or medicine, each with a faculty mentor and day-to-day support from a postdoc, technician or graduate student. The summer ends with the Amgen Scholars Asia symposium in Japan.

All travel and on-campus accommodation covered; the Amgen Scholars page also lists summer tuition and an on-campus meal allowance.
CNY 10,000 scholarship for daily expenses, for scholars who complete the full program.
Lab meetings, seminars, presentation training and Beijing culture outings.

Eligibility

Undergraduates enrolled at a bachelor’s-degree-awarding college or university in Asia; no citizenship requirement.
First undergraduate year completed by the start; not graduating before it; at least one more semester or quarter of undergraduate study afterwards.
Non-native English speakers not at an English-medium university need a score: TOEFL iBT above 72, IELTS above 5.5, TOEIC 1095, TOEIC L&R 785 or TOEIC S&W 310.
