The Concordia Promise is a tuition guarantee from Concordia College, a liberal arts college in Moorhead, Minnesota.
New first-year and transfer students from any U.S. state whose Adjusted Gross Income falls under $90,000 have full standard tuition covered. There is no separate application: admission plus the FAFSA decides it.
Benefits & funding
- 100% of standard full-time tuition, met by combining federal, state and Concordia gift aid; Concordia scholarships count inside it, not on top.
- Housing, meal plans, fees and other costs are not covered.
- Renewable yearly for up to four years or until graduation, with a FAFSA filed each year and income and academic-progress rules still met.
Eligibility
- Newly admitted for Fall 2027 as a first-year or transfer student without a completed undergraduate degree.
- Eligible to file the FAFSA; Minnesota Dream Act–eligible students also qualify.
- AGI under $90,000 on the FAFSA: parents’ AGI for dependent students; the student’s (plus spouse’s, if married) for independent students.
- Full-time: at least 15 credits per term and satisfactory academic progress; no GPA minimum.
- Current Concordia students do not qualify.
Application process
- 1Apply for admission (free) by Nov. 15, 2026 to be placed in the program automatically; later qualified applications are considered until May 1, 2027.
- 2File the FAFSA, then again every year to renew.
