Temasek Foundation Scholarships — Bachelor's Scholarship

The Temasek Foundation Scholarships comprise three awards named for G Muthukumarasamy, RKS Nachiappan and Nithiah Nandan Arumugam. Temasek Foundation funds the awards, while participating Institutes of Higher Learning administer applications.

The scheme supports Singaporean students from lower-income households who demonstrate academic merit. Applicants use the scholarship or financial-aid route of their relevant ITE, polytechnic or university, including mid-course routes.

Benefits & funding

Annual living support is S$3,000 for ITE students, S$4,000 for polytechnic students and S$5,000 for university students.
A family member nominated by the recipient receives a S$2,000 Family Recognition Award each year.
Total support is S$15,000 over three years at ITE, S$18,000 over three years at a polytechnic, and S$21,000, S$28,000 or S$35,000 over three, four or five university years.
The scholarships are bond-free, cover the full course of study and are renewable yearly if the recipient continues to meet the criteria.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Singapore citizens.
Per capita household income must not exceed S$1,875.
Selection is based on merit and academic excellence.
There is no age limit; mature students may apply.
Applications are administered by ITE, five listed polytechnics and six listed universities, and mid-course applications are accepted.
