Assistants work up to 12 hours per week in one to three schools, leading conversations, small-group tutorials, class activities, and presentations related to American studies. Placements span metropolitan France and the overseas departments, with the precise city and school confirmed during the summer.

Eligibility
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents.

- Applicants must have completed at least three years of higher education before the contract begins.
- Applicants must be native English speakers with at least B1 French.
- Teaching or youth-work experience is helpful but not required; a TEFL or ESL certificate is not required.
