The TDR Postgraduate Scholarship in Implementation Research funds a two-year Master of Public Health at ISED-UCAD in Dakar, taught in French and paid for by TDR, the WHO-based tropical disease research programme.
The 2025–2027 cohort focused on epidemics, diseases of poverty, climate and health, and antimicrobial resistance through a One Health approach. Teaching is on campus in Dakar; fellows do their thesis research in their home countries.

Eligibility
- Hold at least a bachelor’s degree.
- Be 37 or younger.
- Be both a national and a resident of Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Central African Republic, Cameroon, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Guinea, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal or Togo.
- Work for a university or research institution, nonprofit, health ministry or WHO agency in one of those countries.
- Be able to name a local supervisor or mentor before the programme starts.
- Have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data-analysis software.
