Chongqing Normal University runs this 21-day summer school through its School of Education Science under the Chinese Government Scholarship International Summer School scheme. The bilingual program brings eligible participants to Chongqing to strengthen K-12 international Chinese teaching competence and study Chinese educational modernization.
The 2026 cohort was scheduled for 35 participants from 20 June to 10 July. The university stated that delivery depended on actual enrollment.
Benefits & funding
- The scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, living expenses and comprehensive medical insurance under the applicable summer-school standard.
- Participants pay their own airfare.
- Chongqing Normal University may cover part of any amount above the standard budget, depending on actual enrollment.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be foreign nationals who are undergraduate-level or higher students or scholars at higher-education institutions outside China, or in-service teachers or young researchers.
- Foreign students, scholars, teachers and young researchers currently enrolled or working at higher-education institutions or organizations in China cannot apply.
- The published application package requires a passport page, highest academic qualification certificate, current study or employment proof, and a one-inch identification photo.
