The Summer Research Internship Program (SRIP) is run by the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia, and has hosted a summer cohort since 1992.
Interns spend ten weeks on a hands-on biomedical research project in a faculty member’s lab, alongside a lecture series, career and graduate-school sessions, science-communication workshops and a closing symposium.
