The scholarship supports candidates from Arab countries to study for an MSc in Space Science or a related program at United Arab Emirates University. Recipients study full-time in Al Ain and work on projects at the National Space Science and Technology Center.
The Arab Space Pioneers Program was initiated by the UAE Prime Minister and is administered jointly by the UAE Space Agency and UAEU. The award runs for two years and requires a minimum 40-hour weekly commitment to courses or research throughout the year.

- Performance- and availability-based research bonus of up to AED 3,000 per month from an external project or AED 2,000 per month from an internal project.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be nationals of an Arab country.
- A bachelor’s degree in space science, physics, mechanical or electrical engineering, computer engineering, information technology, GIS, remote sensing, or another relevant field is required.
- The minimum bachelor’s GPA is 3.3 out of 4.0, and the minimum IELTS score is 6.0 or equivalent.
- Applicants must gain admission to UAEU’s MSc in Space Science or a related program and must have no employment or other financial sponsorship.
- Award holders must study full-time, register for at least nine credits per semester, remain available at UAEU full-time and maintain a master’s GPA of at least 3.3.
