The Radboud Scholarship Programme is a highly selective scholarship funded by Radboud University in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, for talented international students from outside the EU/EEA. It lets recipients enrol in an English-taught Master’s programme while paying a strongly reduced tuition fee rather than the full institutional rate. A maximum of 33 scholarships are available for the 2026/2027 intake, allocated across the participating faculties (Arts, Law, Nijmegen School of Management, Philosophy/Theology/Religious Studies, Science, and Social Sciences). It is a partial scholarship: it does not cover living and study costs in the Netherlands.
Benefits & funding
- Tuition fee reduced to €2,694 per year (in place of the full institutional fee, which is around €18,000 for 2026/2027 depending on the programme).
- Costs of the entry visa, residence permit, health insurance and liability insurance for the stay in the Netherlands are covered (via Aon Student Insurance).
- Awarded for the nominal duration of the Master’s programme; for two-year programmes, recipients must pass all first-year courses to keep the scholarship in the second year.
- Living and study costs in the Netherlands are NOT covered and must be financed by the student.
Eligibility
- Hold a non-EU/non-EEA passport and not qualify for the lower EU/EEA (statutory) tuition fee.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree obtained outside the Netherlands, with no prior Dutch education.
- Meet the English-language proficiency requirement of the chosen Master’s programme.
- Be (conditionally) admitted to, and enrol full-time in, an eligible English-taught Master’s programme at Radboud University.
- Be able to obtain a Netherlands entry visa / residence permit.

Application process
- 1Apply for admission to an eligible Master’s programme through the OSIRIS Application system and, within the same application, indicate that you are applying for the Radboud Scholarship.
- 2Upload the required scholarship documents: two reference letters (following the reference-letter guidelines) and a curriculum vitae.
- 3Each faculty’s selection committee reviews the applications individually and nominates recipients.
