The Future Power and Energy Systems International Summer School is an in-person program created by Tsinghua University’s Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics. The 2026 edition brought students to Beijing for English-taught study of carbon-neutral power systems, digital grids and AI, renewable integration, power electronics, and advanced DC transmission.
The two-week format combined lectures, laboratory and technical visits, industry engagement, workshops, collaborative discussions, and cultural activities. The 2026 cycle ran from August 9 to 23 and is now closed; the department has run FPES in 2024, 2025, and 2026.
