The Pool of Young Journalists in Europe is a one-year content programme run by Eurodesk with the European Commission. Members pick their own topics and publish articles, videos, photos and podcasts on the European Youth Portal and Eurodesk’s social channels.
Members work from home, join monthly online editorial meetings and meet in Brussels twice in the year. The countries whose residents may apply rotate from one edition to the next.

Eligibility
- Aged 18 to 30, and at least 18 by 1 January 2027
- Resident in one of the 12 countries eligible for 2027: France, Italy, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Ireland, Denmark, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Cyprus; no nationality rule is stated
- Other countries wait their turn: 2028 is set for Germany, Spain, Ukraine, Belgium, Greece, Austria, Serbia, Norway, Finland, North Macedonia, Estonia, Luxembourg and Moldova (to be confirmed); 2029 for Türkiye, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Portugal, Czechia, Switzerland, Sweden, Croatia, Slovenia, Georgia, Latvia, Malta and Iceland
- Able to write and communicate in English
- Available until the end of 2027, including Brussels meetings in mid-February and late August–early September plus monthly online meetings and training
- Willing to travel 1–3 times and to publish at least 3 pieces of content a month, alone or with other members

- 2Submit an article and a motivation letter with the form (the 2026 call also accepted a motivation video instead of a letter).
