The Oxford-Creat Group Graduate Scholarship is funded jointly by the University of Oxford and the Creat Group of Beijing. It supports full-time study on four Oxford master’s courses, with one award preferably going to a Master of Public Policy (MPP) applicant.

There is no separate scholarship form: eligible course applicants are considered automatically. Applications for 2027–28 entry are open, with the MPP closing on 2 December 2026.

  • A set amount towards living expenses.
  • The MPP is an intensive 12-month course in Oxford.
  • The funder hopes scholars will contribute to China’s economic development over their lifetime.

Eligibility

  • Ordinarily resident in the People’s Republic of China, including the Hong Kong and Macau SARs; no nationality rule is stated.
  • Applying for the full-time MBA, MPP, MSc Financial Economics or MSc Law and Finance.
  • MPP route: usually a first-class or strong upper-second-class undergraduate degree, plus English proficiency.
  • MPP route: no set work experience is required (MPP FAQ); the How to apply page says admits usually have at least two years, often more.

Application process

    Apply to one of the four eligible courses through Oxford graduate admissions by that course’s own deadline (MPP: 2 December 2026).

    MPP applicants submit a structured personal statement, a CV of up to two pages, a 1,200-word reflective policy essay, a 400-word public service essay, transcripts and three references.

    No separate scholarship application is required; eligible applicants are considered automatically.

    Scholarship selection is expected in April.
