The OPSWAT Cybersecurity Fellowship Program is a hands-on placement in which small teams study real vulnerabilities that affect critical infrastructure systems. It is run by OPSWAT, a cybersecurity company focused on protecting critical infrastructure, at its Vietnam office in Ho Chi Minh City. Each cohort, which OPSWAT calls a SWAT, takes four to six members who work on site at least three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) for six consecutive weeks.
The work runs through six modules: replicating known vulnerabilities in a controlled lab, developing and testing exploits, documenting root causes in written reports and video, scanning and identification with OPSWAT tooling, designing defense measures, and a closing presentation to OPSWAT security experts. OPSWAT frames the program as preparation for research at Master’s and doctoral level, and treats it as a route into an internship or a full-time role at the company.
