The 2025 OD Impact Challenge cycle has concluded, and Opportunity Desk has confirmed another round in 2026 without publishing exact dates. The annual online competition recognizes young changemakers who are solving community problems and asks them to explain both their work and Opportunity Desk’s role in their journey.
Applicants submit a short video and an online form, while selected finalists proceed to public voting and jury review. The most recent cycle ran from applications opening on November 17, 2025 to the winners’ announcement on December 29, 2025.
Benefits & funding
- The top three winners shared $1,000: $500 for first place, $300 for second place, and $200 for third place.
- The top 12 received recognition certificates, fully funded access to Global Changemakers’ Project Management course valued at $150, automatic acceptance into the Savvy Fellowship Program, media exposure, training, conference access, and mentoring.
- Four one-hour mentoring sessions and Savvy platform spotlights were included for finalists.
- The top 30 received automatic Savvy Fellowship acceptance, recognition certificates, and listing as OD Impact Challenge 30 Under 30 Changemakers.
- There was no entry fee.
Eligibility
- Applicants had to be 18–30 years old and could be of any nationality or residence.
- They had to be active Opportunity Desk users, follow its Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Telegram accounts, and subscribe to its newsletter.
- They had to be actively engaged in their community with at least one year of impact as an individual, employee, or entrepreneur.
- Opportunity Desk partners, mentors, staff, and previous top-three winners were not eligible.
- No education level or gender restriction was stated.
