The NNF-IAS programme is a joint initiative of the eight Nordic Institutes for Advanced Studies, supported by the Novo Nordisk Foundation. This first of four calls offers five fellowships under the theme Inequity in Health.
Fellows pursue individual projects while joining one cross-Nordic theme group and the interdisciplinary community of a main host institute in Denmark, Finland, Norway, or Sweden. Projects may come from any discipline but must address health disparities, inequities, or links between health and the environment.
Benefits & funding
- A full-time salary based on seniority under the collective agreement of the host country.
- A research budget of up to EUR 20,000 for the full fellowship, including mobility stays and eligible research costs.
- One-way relocation travel expenses subject to host approval, plus relocation assistance.
- Office space, institute training, conferences, workshops, and access to the wider NordIAS network.
- A 23-month appointment from 1 September 2027 through 31 July 2029, including a mandatory two-to-four-week stay at another NordIAS institute.
