The National Brain Bee Competition 2026 was Austria’s first national event in the International Brain Bee pathway. The Austrian Neuroscience Association sponsored the online competition for students aged 14–19.
Participants answered 40–45 multiple-choice questions on neuroscience. The national winner earned the right to represent Austria at the 2026 IBB World Championship.

- Entry was entirely free.
- Every participant received a certificate, while the top 10% received a Brain Bee ANA T-shirt.
- The top three received cultural-event tickets worth up to €200 each.
- The winner advanced as Austria’s representative to the IBB World Championship and received an invitation to the Austrian Neuroscience Meeting in Innsbruck in September 2027, with travel and accommodation covered by ANA.
