Movilidad de profesorado paraguayo. BECAL is a research-stay grant that Fundación Carolina runs with BECAL, Paraguay’s government scholarship programme.
Paraguayan university teachers who hold a doctorate spend three to eleven months at a Spanish university or research institute to complete their postdoctoral training. Sixty partner universities are listed, and any Spanish research institute can also host.
Benefits & funding
- €1,200 a month for lodging and living, plus one round-trip economy flight from Asunción, paid by BECAL; BECAL’s own call may add more.
- Medical insurance excluding pharmacy costs, paid by Fundación Carolina.
- A stay of three to eleven months between 1 September 2026 and 31 July 2027.
- No other grant or pay without Fundación Carolina’s authorisation.
- A 10–30-page final report is due within a month of the stay ending; missing it means repaying the whole grant.
