Movilidad de profesorado Brasil-España is a Fundación Carolina mobility grant, run with the University of Cádiz and the University of Seville, to build cultural and scientific ties between Brazil and Spain.
Brazilian faculty, researchers and research-phase PhD students spend one to three months at Cádiz or Seville; Spanish counterparts from those two universities go to any Brazilian university or research centre. The foundation’s general mobility page instead names the Junta de Andalucía and several Andalusian public universities as partners.
Benefits & funding
- One round-trip economy flight; the Brazilian departure/arrival cities are set in the award letter, and internal transfers are not covered.
- Medical insurance, excluding pharmacy costs.
- €1,200 a month for lodging and living costs.
- A stay of one to three months between 7 January and 31 July 2027; the committee may shorten it.
- A 10–30-page final report is due within a month of the stay ending; failing to deliver it means repaying the full grant.
Eligibility
- Brazilian route: Brazilian national, not resident in Spain; faculty, researcher or research-phase PhD student at a CAPES-recognised Brazilian university or research body; already accepted by the University of Cádiz or the University of Seville.
- Spanish route: Spanish national, not resident in Brazil; faculty, researcher or research-phase PhD student at the University of Cádiz or the University of Seville; already accepted by a Brazilian university or research centre.
- Both routes: a university degree from a programme of at least four years (licenciatura level) and an excellent academic or professional record.
- An invitation letter from the host is required at application; Fundación Carolina does not arrange it.
