Funding

Fully Funded

Program dates

TBA

The Globalink Research Internship (GRI) is a competitive program run by Mitacs, a Canadian not-for-profit research organisation, that places international undergraduates into 12-week research projects at Canadian universities. Students work under a faculty supervisor across virtually any academic discipline, from science and engineering to the social sciences and humanities. Mitacs runs the program through national partner organisations in each participating country (for example the China Scholarship Council, DAAD in Germany, and AICTE in India). Internships take place over the Canadian summer, and the experience is designed as a pathway toward graduate study and research collaboration in Canada.

Benefits & funding

  • Funding to contribute to the cost of round-trip airfare to Canada (amount varies by country of origin)
  • Funding to contribute to ground transport from the Canadian airport to accommodation
  • A housing stipend (amount varies by country of origin)

  • A stipend for food and incidentals (amount varies by country of origin)
