Salzburg Global convenes this session to connect public-memory practice with health equity. Fifty participants from around the world will examine how physical, digital, and living memory landscapes can support belonging, healing, and equity.
Virtual co-development meetings lead into a five-day residential session at Schloss Leopoldskron in Salzburg. Participants will study four to six international cases and work toward practical strategies, collaborations, and an international network.
Benefits & funding
- The USD 6,000 program fee is waived for successful applicants.
- The waiver includes all program activities, meals, and accommodation at Schloss Leopoldskron.
- Travel awards are available as a fixed contribution based on the expected economy-class travel cost from the participant’s location.
Eligibility
- The session is for people working across public memory, history, heritage, culture, health equity, healing, urban space, policy, media, community leadership, or related fields.
- Applicants must already be involved in participatory and inclusive public-memory work and/or be positioned to influence community, organizational, or structural change.
- Full participation in Salzburg from December 1–6, 2026 is required; answering no to this commitment disqualifies the application.
- No nationality, residence, degree, age, gender, or stated minimum-years-of-experience restriction is published.
