Lithuanian Brain Bee is Lithuania’s national neuroscience competition for students aged 13–18, run by the Lithuanian Neuroscience Association as the country’s affiliate of the International Brain Bee (IBB).
Students first sit an online test; top scorers go on to a national round, and the national winner represents Lithuania at the IBB World Championship. The 2026 cycle has finished and the next cycle’s dates are not yet published.
Benefits & funding
- No entry fee or stipend is published; national finalists receive Brain Bee gifts.
- The national winner is Lithuania’s only route to the IBB World Championship (held online in autumn 2026).
- At the World Championship every competitor gets a certificate; the top three win US$3,000, US$2,000 and US$1,000.
Eligibility
- Students aged 13–18 who currently live in Lithuania; no nationality is required.
- Fluent English: it is the IBB’s official language and the competition runs in English.
- Only one national Brain Bee (or the IYNA Virtual Brain Bee) per year; registering for more than one leads to disqualification.
