Official Page

The KTH India Scholarship supports Indian students entering a master’s programme at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. The foundation was created through an anonymous donation, and KTH announced one scholarship for the 2026 intake.

Recipients study in person at KTH for two years. The scholarship targets fee-paying applicants who completed their undergraduate studies in India and place an eligible KTH master’s programme first in their application.

Benefits & funding

  • Tuition fees for the first and second years are covered, subject to satisfactory first-year study results.
  • A monthly living allowance is provided during the 10-month academic year; KTH does not publish the amount.
  • KTH announced one award for the 2026 intake.

Eligibility

  • Be an Indian citizen and have completed an undergraduate programme in India.
  • Be required to pay tuition fees, pay the application fee, and meet the admission requirements for the chosen KTH master’s programme; conditionally eligible applicants may apply.
  • Rank the eligible KTH master’s programme as first priority; programmes ranked second through fourth do not qualify.
  • Do not apply for a joint master’s programme or a programme with obligatory exchange studies.
  • Applicants from the Mumbai Metropolitan Area and Pune receive priority under the foundation’s statutes, but this is a preference rather than an eligibility gate.
